Description:

PALENTINE TYPICAL HOUSE OF 955m2 WITH PROPERTY OF 4.818m2 IN THE NATURAL PARK OF FUENTES CARRIONAS

I knew little about the area of the Palencia mountain, but I always liked it since I am a lover of nature and know the richness of the area. These properties are currently the Bear Museum House of the Brown Bear Foundation. The museum has an area of 543 m2 distributed on two floors and loft all diaphanous only differentiated by the educational panels, the only independent instances are the office and two public bathrooms, one of them adapted for the disabled. The classroom has a constructed area of 412m2 is a single diaphanous floor and one of its sides is a complete window which can be opened to enjoy the porch with a garden of about 100m2. So the set of properties make a total of 955 m2 nestled in two farms, one urban of 1,411 m2 and the other with rustic fruit trees measuring 3,407 m2. (according to cadastral certification). The houses are completely renovated, if you want to go to homes you have to make some kind of modification but minimal, such as putting a kitchen, bathrooms and distribution, no major work. The construction materials are of good quality, the heating is through underfloor heating supplied with the gas-oil tank and the well (Geothermal), its windows are made of wood with double glazing   It retains most of the original oak wood being visible as well as the stone walls, both buildings have a separate room for tools and boilers. The reason for the sale is by transfer, leaving behind numerous visitors who could continue to enjoy a similar place for retirement, enjoyment and knowledge of the area.

The properties can be accessed through the main entrance of the museum house or through a hatch that gives access to the farm, this access is common servitude with two other neighbors.

It is completely renovated, if you want to go to housing you have to make some kind of modification but minimal, minor work.

The construction materials are of good quality, the heating is through underfloor heating supplied with the gas-oil tank and the well (Geothermal), its windows are made of wood with double glazing.

All the rehabilitation was done respecting the materials and the typology of the place, thus preserving the majority of the oak beams and the original stone. “I went to Verdeña to capture this property and took the opportunity to spend the night in the town and to know its charms better, it really was a success.

The day before I spent it in Cervera de Pisuerga which is 9 km from Verdeña, it is a quiet and beautiful town and they have all the services except school institutes, it is solved by bus transportation to the town of Aguilar de Campoo.

I return to Verdeña, leaving the Requejada reservoir on our left, a little further on the sign that indicates that Potes is only 28 km away.

Before arriving I realize that there are indications of several hiking trails, one in the same town of Verdeña, “the Fossil Forest” which is also connected to the Lebaniego Road and near “El Roblón” in the town of Estalaya, route that honors the Albar Oak that is estimated to be more than 500 years old, if we add to this that it is bold territory we realize that it is indeed an ideal place to run a rural business or for a habitual residence, yes, for a profile of people who like to enjoy nature ”.
