Located in the beautiful Liébana mountainous valley, a unique and tranquil area of Cantabria, where modern conveniences blend with traditional ways of life. • 30 mins from Fuente De (the longest mountain cable car in Europe)
• 40 mins to coastal resorts with wonderful beaches
• 2 hours on the public bus service from Santander to Potes.


It is known as the water village having several streams & rivers running through with a duck pond, seats, & walks around the village and in the Peña Sagra mountain range. There are about 20 casas including an English run hotel with a café/bar & serving meals & snacks. The village Cider Museum and Restaurant serves naturally grown BBQ’d lamb and produce and sell: their own cider, which is notorious in the area, and locally produced wines and Orujo.

The casa/apartment was originally known as “The Old Oven House”. It was reformed in 2006 -2008 and is 2 storeys containing 4 apartments. The exterior is mainly traditional stone. There are 2 bedrooms, a living /dining area and open plan kitchen. Inside has many oak beams and traditional stone walls. It has been furnished traditional style with all new furniture and electrical appliances. Each room has Eco low energy heaters with a traditional log burning fire in the living room. Logs are free in the local forests. There is a full sized cooker & oven, an automatic washing machine, a dishwasher, and a micro wave oven. Outside are large paved terraces, done attractively with local stone/slate. There is a separate and large off the road parking area.

The owner has 2 casas/apartments for sale in the building containing 4 casas/apartments and would ideally like to sell just one of them and retain the other for personal use. However, if prospective buyers would like to purchase the 2 casas/apartments, the owner is willing to consider offers. Both casas/apartments are on the ground floor and with adjoining walls making it relatively easy to make into an exceptionally nice 4 bed-roomed home. Casa 1, shown below, has an exterior south east facing enclosed rear terrace, which could potentially be easily converted into another bedroom or sun conservatory.

There are refuges & resting places along the way. The lane in front of the casa is not a through road to vehicles and serves the local Posada, the old school house, one other reformed casa and the ornate village church and cemetery.
